Brainwave: A Magical Hit at the 2024 Melbourne Magic Festival

“Brainwave,” the dynamic duo’s third show at the Melbourne Magic Festival in 2024, captivated audiences with its enchanting mix of magic and positive messages. This innovative show encouraged kids (and parents) to embrace three powerful brainwaves:

  1. See the Good
  2. See Things Differently
  3. See the Real You

In a thrilling storyline, Rhodneey’s mischievous antics kept everyone on their toes, but all was resolved in the end. Each child left with a complimentary Big Bobby magic trick and tutorial, adding a personal touch to their magical experience. After the performance, attendees had the unique opportunity to meet the real stars of the show—the cows!

Special guests Picco the Clown, the Cowettes, and the Gamemaster added to the show’s charm. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with parents pleasantly surprised by how entertained and inspired they felt. Children with special needs were particularly enthralled, highlighting the show’s broad appeal and inclusivity.

Sustainability is at the Heart of Our Magic

Our main stage is ingeniously crafted from fifty vintage school tables from the 1970s, rescued from the brink of landfill. The mini stage, prop tables, and timbers were all salvaged and repurposed, giving discarded materials a new lease on life. Even some of our tricks are built from old lockers and shelving. Now that’s real magic!

Audience Reviews:

  • “Your show is so inclusive” – Jacqueline
  • “I brought the kids and knew they’d love it; I didn’t think I’d be so entertained!” – Sarah
  • “The set looked incredible, and I loved the big tricks!” – Amy
  • “My son and his best friend loved the prizes and magic. Very professional outfit!” – Jason

Brainwave was truly a magical highlight of the festival, leaving lasting impressions on both young and old.
